| A Mother’s Touch offers three pre-school programs for children ages 3 to 5. We provide an integrated curriculum that encourages hands-on discovery within our multiple learning centers. The learning environment is structured, yet allows for freedom of choice within each classroom.
Your child will learn through group time, art, stories, music, as well as social interaction. Independence is promoted by allowing your child to make decisions, solve problems, and resolve conflicts. Weekly lessons plans are designed to meet the physical, intellectual, emotional and social needs of your child.
Pre-School I:
Your child will be introduced to basic math and science concepts through cooking, sorting, counting and sensory table activities. The alphabet, shapes, colors and basic patterns are also introduced.
Pre-School II:
Math and Science are further explored through an understanding of numbers, graphing and patterning. Science experiments and nature explorations will expand your child’s investigative skills. Language is introduced through Letter of the Week, letter tracing and name writing. Phonics and story dictation strengthen and build language skills.
Pre-Kindergarten:
Further development of phonics, language and writing takes place. Handwriting Without Tears is implemented in the daily curriculum. Group teachings are reinforced through individual use of the learning centers. Continuation of math and science concepts include basic addition, estimation, experimentation and problem solving.
